The new X-COVER saves time and effort
The bulky PVC covers of traditional rooftop tents often pose a small acrobatic challenge on higher vehicles. The new patented cover encloses only the important area at the sides between the waterproof floor and the lid. The PVC sheet is securely integrated and closes with a heavy-duty waterproof zipper. Weighing in at only 55 kg, despite its size the iKAMPER X-COVER is an absolute featherweight among car roof tents. Which makes it also ideal for smaller vehicles.
A car roof tent is an especially good choice if your trailer hitch is already being used by a boat trailer, horse trailer, etc.

The roof tent can comfortably accommodate up to four people. The spacious sleeping area measures approx. 176 x 228 cm (W x L).
Fast, simple and uncomplicated: the roof tent is ready for use and set up in around three minutes.
The roof tent weighs approx. 65 kg. The ladder is detachable. In this way, the weight can be reduced by approx. 6 kg.
To reduce condensation, the tent is equipped with a pure cotton inner tent. So it stays nice and dry on the inside.
The design of the cover combines the durability and stability of a hard case with the lightness and functionality of a soft case. When folded, the tent measures approx. 195 x 120 cm (L x W) and is approx. 34 cm high.
The floor is made of aluminum honeycomb panels. This makes it particularly stable, very light, fireproof, fully recyclable and offers an additional layer of insulation.

The huge king size bed offers space for an entire family. When the tent is opened up you have an area of 230 x 190 cm. The comfortable, thick premium mattress ensures a healthy, restful sleep.
The X-COVER rooftop tent has big windows on all sides, so you can enjoy the view from up top. All the windows have sturdy, close-mesh mosquito nets, a waterproof layer that can be closed from the inside and special canopies that allow for ventilation even during heavy rain showers. A unique feature: the two panorama skylights that give you an amazing view of the stars by night and keep the tent nice and bright during the day. And if you like to sleep in, of course you can close the canvas flaps on the windows from the inside.

Breathing, sweating and cooking produce a great deal of water vapour, which causes condensation to form on the inside walls of the tent, especially on cold nights. To deal with this issue we developed the CAMPWERK inner tent. You simply attach it to the tent poles and presto: you’ve got a double-walled rooftop tent. The inner tent is made of 100 % cotton and has zip openings on all sides for optimal ventilation on hot days.

The tent is made of high-grade 300 g poly-cotton fabric, also known as sailcloth or canvas. This is a material masterpiece that unites the benefits of a natural fibre with those of a high-tech material. The result is a strong, breathable fabric with a pleasant feel and outstanding dimensional stability.
This material, which is also used by the military, is watertight and extremely tear-resistant. All the seams are sewn with special thread that expands the first time it comes in contact with water to tighten any stitching holes in the fabric.

The floor of the iKamper Skycamp roof tent consists of aluminum honeycomb panels. This material offers unimagined stability and is also very light.
Even exposed to stormy winds of force 8, the roof tent shows its robust side and remains steadfast.
Thanks to its low weight, the Skycamp can be lifted onto the roof with just two people, just like a roof box, and attached to the cross member with the enclosed fastening clips.
The wind deflector improves the overall appearance of the Skycamp on your vehicle and reduces wind noise by minimizing flow resistance.
The stainless steel anti-theft devices are mounted over the screws of the mounting plates to prevent them from being unscrewed.
The rooftop tent can be mounted onto almost any vehicle that has a minimum dynamic load of 60 kg. All you need are 2 crossbars or a roof rack. The rooftop tent is simply attached to the crossbars or roof rack with the provided mounting brackets. Mounting DIRECTLY onto the roof rails is not recommended, as the space between it and the roof is very small and the U-screws can scratch the paint. So you’ll also need crossbars or a roof rack for the roof rails.

Most cars have a roof load capacity of between 75 –100 kg, but this specification only applies to the load while driving! When stationary, the weight on the roof can be considerably higher. Think about it this way: the roof must be able to hold the entire weight of the car if it should overturn.
